[ Food Review ] The Gastro Project , Section 17 Petaling Jaya

Last two weeks , I went to The Gastro Project @ Section 17 Petaling Jaya for a beautiful dinner review . This place captures both elegance & a relaxed feel then no further . It doesn't matter that you're looking a place for fine dining , a burger , a cocktail , an exciting ethnic dish , or anything in between , this is the right spot to fulfill your food craving . The Gastro Project ( TGP ) is a new concept of dine-in restaurant for everyone as I would elaborate more =) TGP is cozy , chic , elegant and familiar with their restaurant design . For the main dining area has an unassuming trendy mosaic-floored space with a burgundy finish . The logo of this restaurant is mainly inspired by the significant amount of time spent in England by the family of the owner and hence the reason for the crown .

Meanwhile , the walls decorated with holding blown-up photos of Hollywood stars including Jack Nicholson puffing a cigar , Samuel L. Jackson chomping on a burger , Julia Roberts taking a bite out of a pizza and Brad Pitt sipping on an expresso , oh and also Jean Reno ! I was happy because invited with the rest of the media for this private food dining , we were introduced and acknowledge about this new restaurant . We were firstly chilling and hanging out upstairs of the restaurant , it is specially for private event just call for reservation . More over , you can reserve the area for you and your friends & family to enjoy movie while dinner for a chill out . The area is soundproof that would not disturb the other diners dining downstairs .

Beautiful timber staircase for the retro and chio style of the restaurant .

That night , the space was filled with tables and we can taste their in-house mix cocktails !

I had tried their very own cocktails , I personally love the Vanilla Passion tea , one of my favorite from the menu .

This is the AC Martini , taste sweet and best for Martini Lovers , AC is the Apple Crumble .

The Vanilla Passion Tea

The Ginger Swizzle - a combination for Lime , Apple , Gingerbeer and of course the whisky lover .
Served with delicious Mushroom Tart , it is crispy and tasty just right for bites - Caramelised mushrooms and onions served on their very own polenta base - RM15

The Indian - Spicy Chicken Perratal with Cucumber Raita , Sliced red chillies and Paneer - RM 28
