DIVA Universal Salutes Unsung Heroes in Asia
·        Women Across Asia Have Nominated Four Unsung Heroes for the High Heeled Warrior Award for their Selfless Contribution.
·        DIVA Calls For Public to Begin Voting
Malaysia, 23 September 2013 – DIVA Universal is proud to announce the nominees vying  for the ‘Unsung Hero’ category of DIVA Universal’s inaugural High Heeled Warrior Awards, which has been created to celebrate and recognize the successes of women across Asia. The ‘Unsung Hero’ is a woman who has made a significant impact and positive difference to society or to the lives of those around her.

After two weeks of public nominations and intense selection by the judging panel led by Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Universal Networks International; Todd Forest, Executive Producer Asia Pacific, Microsoft Online Media and Publishing, Singapore; Ruth Yeoh, Director of Investments and Head of Sustainability, YTL Corporation Berhad; and Media Consultant Diana Ser, nominations were whittled to the final four inspirational women.

The nominees are Cassandra Chiu (Singapore), Teri Choong (Malaysia), Jasmine Ong Kim Li (Malaysia) and Jennifer Chen (Hong Kong). These women have been voted by their peers for their vast contributions to society and selfless dedication to bettering the lives of others.
Being involved in various projects in their respective countries, the four nominees prove that with hard work and sheer dedication, there is no limit to what can be done to make a difference in the world. They have received awards for their outstanding work and contributions and have also played an active role in reaching out to the public to advocate and endorse volunteer work.
"It was a great pleasure reviewing the candidates for the "High Heeled Warrior Unsung Hero (HHW)" nominations. All women reviewed demonstrated great strength and character so choosing from such a stellar roll call was no easy feat. Based on the ladies selected, those who have served the community selflessly through self-sacrifice, and those who have overcome disabilities to live a life filled with purpose shone the brightest.
I have been privileged to witness some of the good works personally of some of these HHWs nominated through experiences working with them and can therefore most certainly attest to their great work within the societies in which they operate." Ruth Yeoh, Director of Investments and Head of Sustainability, YTL Corporation Berhad said.
Apart from the ‘Unsung Heroes’ category, the High Heeled Warrior Awards celebrates women in in Arts & Entertainment, Entrepreneurship and Community Service.
Voting for all categories is opened to public and will close on 29 September 2013 via www.highheeledwarriors.asia. Winners will be announced on-air on both DIVA Universal and E! Entertainment’s Facebook Pages, and also online by MSN.

The High Heeled Warrior Awards aims to heighten awareness of the importance in the roles of which women play in society- from business, arts, entertainment, community service and education.

Thursday, September 12

Last two weeks , I went to The Gastro Project @ Section 17 Petaling Jaya for a beautiful dinner review . This place captures both elegance & a relaxed feel then no further . It doesn't matter that you're looking a place for fine dining , a burger , a cocktail , an exciting ethnic dish , or anything in between , this is the right spot to fulfill your food craving . The Gastro Project ( TGP ) is a new concept of dine-in restaurant for everyone as I would elaborate more =) TGP is cozy , chic , elegant and familiar with their restaurant design . For the main dining area has an unassuming trendy mosaic-floored space with a burgundy finish . The logo of this restaurant is mainly inspired by the significant amount of time spent in England by the family of the owner and hence the reason for the crown .

Meanwhile , the walls decorated with holding blown-up photos of Hollywood stars including Jack Nicholson puffing a cigar , Samuel L. Jackson chomping on a burger , Julia Roberts taking a bite out of a pizza and Brad Pitt sipping on an expresso , oh and also Jean Reno ! I was happy because invited with the rest of the media for this private food dining , we were introduced and acknowledge about this new restaurant . We were firstly chilling and hanging out upstairs of the restaurant , it is specially for private event just call for reservation . More over , you can reserve the area for you and your friends & family to enjoy movie while dinner for a chill out . The area is soundproof that would not disturb the other diners dining downstairs .

Beautiful timber staircase for the retro and chio style of the restaurant .

That night , the space was filled with tables and we can taste their in-house mix cocktails !

I had tried their very own cocktails , I personally love the Vanilla Passion tea , one of my favorite from the menu .

This is the AC Martini , taste sweet and best for Martini Lovers , AC is the Apple Crumble .

The Vanilla Passion Tea

The Ginger Swizzle - a combination for Lime , Apple , Gingerbeer and of course the whisky lover .
Served with delicious Mushroom Tart , it is crispy and tasty just right for bites - Caramelised mushrooms and onions served on their very own polenta base - RM15

The Indian - Spicy Chicken Perratal with Cucumber Raita , Sliced red chillies and Paneer - RM 28

The Menu of TGP

Adorable blogger - Chloe

The retro-ish checkered tiles on the main dining area .

Our menu of the night !

Introducing The Japanese Style Salad - It is a happy salad of avocado , pomegranate , mixed salad leaves and pine nuts , in a Japanese inspired sesame dressing - RM15
Additional tempura prawns RM 5

Tiger Prawn - flash fried then cooked in a Buttercream Sauce with Mantau Bun for soaking up the last drop!
-RM 40

Lamb - Slow cooked lamb stewed with carrots and apricots , served with fluffy , buttered couscous and a side salad - RM40
Steak - Australian Black Angus ( Ribeye 200g / Sirlion 200g/ Tenderloin 200g ) - RM45
Spaghetti - Crabmeats , Parsley , garlic , chilli flakes  - RM24
p/s : the portion is by dish , above is just a combination of the three dishes in smaller portion
Come to the end is the dessert ! Decadent , Classic , Satisfying - RM 15 each
Ashley , Chloe , Me

I love the atmosphere having dinner here with friends , family or celebrate with your loved ones . Either you're here for dining or movie with cocktails ! Finally I had discovered a new concept of restaurant right here at The Gastro Project . I would recommend you to enjoy your dinner here with the beautiful interiors , music , friendly services and of course the yummy and affordable prices with the varieties of food in the menu .

NBCUniversal To Crown Their Very Own High Heeled Warriors
Honoring Women who want it, do it, and have it all
Singapore, 29 August 2013 -  Hot on the heels of NBCUniversal’s highly successful High Heeled Warriors research on female Pay-TV viewers, the network has announced plans to roll out its inaugural High Heeled Warrior Awards. The High Heeled Warrior Awards will recognize and celebrate the achievements of women in Asia who have contributed to society in their industry and community, and have made an impact in the lives of many around them.
High Heeled Warrior Awards will be rolled out today and spearheaded digitally. It aims to honor women in different fields such as Entrepreneurship, Arts & Entertainment, Community Service and Unsung Heroes.
Luxury fashion and fragrance brand Hugo Boss is lending its support to further the cause of High Heeled Warriors, where women are approaching their expectations of life with increasing power and capability.
The High Heeled Warriors research categorizes women across Asia in five different groups. These are the unique career-focused ‘Trailblazers,’ the spontaneous ‘Passionistas,’ the well-connected ‘Social-siders,’ the fiercely loyal ‘Peace-Keepers’ and the loving and family-oriented ‘Heart-Warmers.’ The High-Heeled Warrior Awards targets women who fit into these respective groups, showing how they have empowered themselves and the women around them, and also to celebrate their roles and contribution to society.
In the Arts & Entertainment category, host and former editor of Elle Magazine Anita Kapoor, supermodel Lisa Selesner, Malaysian actress Lisa Surihani and owner of creative agency Present Purpose Tracy Phillips have been nominated for their involvement in projects that stretch across the screens, theatres, large-scaled events and concert halls. These are the women defined by recognition and admiration from the public and for industry endorsements as well.
Filling the Entrepreneurship category, are Plukka Jewelry founder Joanne Ooi, boutique hotel owner Yenn Wong, founder of Malaysian fashion brands  KLutched and ShoeShoesShoes Ung Yiu Lin and Tjin Lee, Managing Director of Mercury Marketing & Communications. Coupled by their own success of innovation and creativity, these women have made a name for themselves in the corporate world from remaining on top and running their own home grown businesses.
The third category is to recognize our passionate women whom have devoted themselves to volunteer work and dedicated their lives to help others. LEAP Spiral founder and Executive Director Cynthia Ong, Co-founder of a non-profit organization Fugee School Deborah Henry, Programme Director of FilmAid Asia in Thailand Mary Soan and Pia Bruce, Executive Director at National Committee for UNIFEM Singapore, are the women who fall under Community Service category. These are women whom are not only defined by their activity and commitment to helping the less fortunate, but also for their vast contribution to society and to help bettering it.
Nominations for the first three categories have been shortlisted by a panel of judges. The judging panel will be led by Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia Pacific of Universal Networks Internation, Todd Forest, Executive Producer Asia Pacific, Microsoft Online Media and

Publishing, Singapore, Ruth Yeo, Executive Director at YTL Singapore Pte Ltd and Director at YTL-SV Carbon Sdn Bhd and Diana Ser, who spearheads a communication consulting and media training company.

Women who have made a significant impact and positive difference to society and to the life of those around them fall in the last category; The Unsung Heroes. These women selflessly help others and don’t expect to be recognized for their hard work by their peers or even by their pay. The public is encouraged to submit nominations from 27 August to 8 September as to who they think should be considered an Unsung Hero. Voting for all categories will then be opened to public from 9 to 29 September via www.highheeledwarriors.asia. Winners will be announced on-air on both DIVA Universal and E! Entertainment’s Facebook Pages, and also online by MSN.
The Awards will also heighten awareness of the importance in the roles which women play in society- from business, arts, entertainment, community service and education.
Christine Fellowes, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Universal Network International says, “The roles that women play today have great impact on the lives of people around them and in society. We believe women in Asia are High Heeled Warriors as they face growing expectations with increasing intelligence, independence and power. As the entertainment network that delivers global brands women love and look up to, the High Heeled Warrior Awards is our avenue of honoring women and their laudable achievements in life.”
